Facebook Messenger is introducing four new features and tools within video chat to give users a new way to add fun to conversations with their friends and family. All the features such as animated reactions, filters, masks and effects and the ability to take screenshots of video chats, will be available for one-on-one conversations and group video chats on FB Messenger. The new updates will enable users to enhance video conversation via emojis and express love, laughter, surprise, sadness or anger. Users can add filters to look and feel like their best self.

"These reactions will animate onto the screen and then disappear, so you can express yourself in the moment," Facebook said in a news post. The company has added that these reactions will present themselves in different versions depending on whether your face is on or off the screen.

Facebook has also added new mask options and unveiled new effects to video chats as well. "Unlike reactions, masks and effects stay on the screen for the duration of the video chat (or until you take them off or switch to another one)," the company stated.
