An ex-commanding officer of a US Navy squadron has recently come out to share his first-hand encounter with an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) that took place during his service, back in 2004. Cmdr. David Fravor, who served as a US Navy pilot for 18-years, revealed his story of how he came across “Something not from the Earth" after the recent admittance of Pentagon, for the first time ever, of a program that is solely dedicated to the studying of UFOs. The program, better known as Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, continued from 2007 to 2012 and was the first such government initiative since the ‘Project Blue Book’, a similar study by the US Air Force, was shut down in 1969. As per reports, some officials even claim that the efforts still continue for the same.
Recalling his experience, David Fravor – then commander of the A-41 Black Aces, explains how he encountered the UFO during a routine training exercise prior to deployment to the Persian Gulf for the Iraq War. As per the instructions by the command, Fravor was asked to look into some unidentified flying objects which were dropping down from a height of 80,000 feet to 20,000 feet and then disappearing. As Fravor and his crew headed that way, they saw the object flying over the ocean. "A White Tic-Tac, about the same size as a Hornet, 40-feet long with no wings. Just hanging close to the water." Fravor mentioned.
As per Fravor, the object created no air turbulence and began to mirror the pilots in-pursuit, before vanishing from the location. “It accelerates and it's gone. Faster than I'd ever seen anything in my life" recalls Fravor.
As per the report, the US Defense Department program looked into the matter but the core questions as to what the object was and the purpose of its visit went unanswered.
