‘I Am Getting Married’: Actor Premgi Amaren’s New Year Special Tweet Viral

Tamil actor Premgi Amaren, who is known for films like Chennai 600028 and Goa, is making headlines for a tweet related to his love life. As per reports, Premgi was reportedly getting harassed by netizens, who were constantly asking him about his love life. He recently took to X to announce his marriage plans this year. He tweeted, “Happy new year. This year I am getting married. Dot.” This post has created a lot of curiosity among the fans, and fueled the rumour mills as well. Everyone is now wondering, who that woman is going to be or what’s her identity.

The tweet gained thousands of likes and reposts till now, and is making rounds on the internet. Reacting to the statement, one user wrote, “Don’t get married bro.” Another user wrote, “Super Resolution for New Year Na.” The third user wrote, “I hope this is just the new year’s resolution you never follow.” The tweet has gained 4,00,000 views on the platform.

Premgi Amaren made his debut in acting through the film Vallavan, directed by Silambarasan, which was released in 2006. After that he was casted as a lead in his brother Venkat Prabhu’s directorial debut Chennai 600028, in 2007.

In 2023, he was seen in the films Custody, and Sathiya Sothanai. He was seen as the lead in Sathiya Sothanai, which was directed by Suresh Sanghaiah. In the film, he was seen alongside Swayam Siddha, Reshma Pasupuleti, Selva Murugan, KG Mohan, Lakshmi, Haritha, and G Gnanasambandam. Sameer Bharath Ram has produced the film, under the banner of Super Talkies. It was released on July 21, 2023.

Premgi’s upcoming film is the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer The Greatest of All Time, which is set to be directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film has an ensemble cast of Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Premgi Amaran, Yogi Babu, and many others. It is being produced under the banner of AGS entertainment. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music in the film.
