New Delhi: An ugly war of words broke between the two senior officials in Delhi's Anti Corruption Bureau - MK Meena and SS Yadav- after the former asked for the FIR register, which was with latter and he refused to hand it over. Meena was appointed as the chief of ACB on the Lieutenant Governor's order and SS Yadav was appointed by the Directorate Vigilance of the Delhi government.

According to sources, when Meena asked for the FIR register, pointing out that it should be at the police station, Yadav refused to hand it over and instead threatened to commit suicide and even abused top officers.

Meena has submitted a report of the incident to the Delhi Police.

Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said, "This country is governed not by governments but by rule of law. we are all the instrumentalities of rule of law, we have to understand this whether we are serving in Delhi Police, Corporation or Delhi Administration."

Yadav, on the other hand has a very different story to tell. Yadav has written a letter to Meena alleging that ACB officers and men were working under serious mental stress and also with danger to their life.

Yadav said, "I got selected in police services at age of 21. I have faced 18 attacks in my career as IPS officer. I have been fighting corruption both within and outside the system. I won't get bogged down by anything and by anybody."

The issue was also raised in the Delhi Assembly by Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajesh Gupta.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia added, "The Lt Governor appointed an officer to a post which does not exist. The Delhi government is questioning its validity."

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has shot off a letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh detailing all the complaints against Meena and expressing the hope that appropriate action will be taken against him. The buzz is that Yadav could be removed by the L-G. However, the AAP government is not ready to relent yet and could knock on the doors of the court yet again.
