There is no Modi wave in Jharkhand: Shibu Soren
Accusing the BJP of making tall promises with an eye on power, Soren said Jharkhand voters won't be swayed by such campaigns.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha supremo Shibu Soren has claimed that there is no wave in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the state. Accusing the BJP of making tall promises with an eye on power, Soren said Jharkhand voters won't be swayed by such campaigns as they were aware that those who promise the sky fail to deliver when given an opportunity.

"The voters of Jharkhand cannot be fooled. There are some parties which claim to have done development but the truth is very different. The BJP and Narendra Modi have not done anything in Jharkhand. They are only making tall claims and the voters will teach them a befitting lesson in the elections," Soren told IBNLive.com after the 35th foundation day celebrations in Dumka on Sunday.

Soren claimed that he was confident that the JMM-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal alliance would seep the state in the Lok Sabha elections.

He added that he would soon undertake a tour of the state to apprise the voters of his party's agenda for the Lok Sabha elections and to also expose the BJP which has been busy spearing "lies and canard" about the state government.

The veteran leader popularly known as "dishom guru" among his supporters said that his party had fought for creating Jharkhand after dividing Bihar and now there was no obstacle in the state's development.

Denying that there was any threat to the Hemant Soren government, he said that the three MLAs -Bidyut Baran Mahato, Mathura Prasad Mahto and Jagannath Mahto - had some grievances which have been addressed.

The three MLAs had sent their resignation to Soren after Savita Mahto, the widow of Sudhir Mahto, was not nominated by the party for the February 7 Rajya Sabha elections.

While Bidyut Baran Mahato is Bahragora MLA, Mathura Prasad Mahto and Jagannath Mahto represent Tundi and Dumri respectively in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly.
