Hyderabad: The emergency meeting of Andhra Pradesh cabinet over the Telangana issue got over on Thursday evening. After the meeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah and state's Tourism Minister Geeta Reddy told CNN-IBN that it is the high command who will take the decision over the issue.

"The high command will take a decision on when is the appropriate time to move the resolution," she said.

"Final decision will be taken by the high command after meeting MPs from both the side," Reddy said.

Rosaiah, who headed the cabinet meeting, said no hasty decision will be taken on the Telangana issue.

On Thursday, at least 93 legislators and many MPs resigned to protest the Central Government's decision to carve out a separate Telangana state.

After the meeting, Reddy also said that no action would be taken against these MPs.

"No action against the MPs who submitted their resignations today (Thursday). It was an emotional outburst," she told CNN-IBN.

Meanwhile, the high-level party meeting called at Congress president Sonia Gandhi's residence on Thursday night has also got over.

Sources told CNN-IBN that the meeting was attended by cabinet ministers - Pranab Mukherjee, A K Antony, P Chidambaram, M Veerappa Moily and Sonia's Political Secretary Ahmed Patel.

After the meeting, party sources said they were not worried about the MLAs who have resigned and everything will be sorted out.

Earlier in the day, at least 21 Andhra Pradesh Congress MPs from the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha met Sonia at her 10, Janpath residence.

She has assured party MPs from Andhra Pradesh that "no injustice will be done" and views of all sections will be taken.

The party MPs also held a late night meeting with Moily and raised reservations over resolution proposing a separate statehood for Telangana saying it lacked consensus.

"Lot of people are resigning. We want our interests to be taken care of," MP K S Rao said.
