New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notices to two companies in which Karti Chidambaram, son of Finance Minister P Chidambaram, has 66 per cent shares following a petition by Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy in which he alleged that pressure was being exerted on him by filing defamation cases against him in Singapore. The notices have been issued to Advantage Strategic Consulting Private Ltd and Advantage Strategic Consulting Singapore.
The defamation case was filed by Advantage Strategic Consulting Singapore in Singapore, saying that Swamy by linking Karti Chidambaram to the 2G spectrum allocation scam was trying to defame the Finance Minister's son.
In his petition Swamy has accused the companies of trying to harass him by filing the defamation case.
