Rajnath Singh meets PM Modi, conveys ex-servicemen grievances  over delay in OROP
The ex-servicemen have been protesting for more than two months at Jantar Mantar in the national capital demanding early implementation of OROP.

New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday night met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is believed to have discussed about the ongoing agitation by ex-servicemen demanding One Rank One Pension (OROP).

The meeting came hours after a delegation of ex-servicemen met the Home Minister urging him to impress upon the government to implement the OROP as early as possible, sources said.

Though details of the meeting is not known immediately, sources said Singh apprised the Prime Minister of the ex-servicemen's grievances conveyed to him by the delegation.

Agitating ex-servicemen on Friday boycotted the golden jubilee celebrations of the 1965 war after rejecting the government's latest offer on resolving the issue of OROP.

The ex-servicemen have been protesting for more than two months at Jantar Mantar in the national capital demanding early implementation of OROP.
