No Relief to Dayashankar Singh, Allahabad HC Denies Stay on His Arrest

Lucknow: There is no relief to absconding former Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dayashankar Singh as the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court denied a stay on his arrest.

The Uttar Pradesh government now has a week's time to respond on the matter.

Meanwhile, his pictures taking darshan at the Shiva temple in Jharkhand's Deoghar have surfaced on the social media.

Reports said a priest at the temple had uploaded Singh's picture and removed it after media began inquiring him.

His family continues to maintain they don't know his whereabouts. Singh has an FIR against him under the SC/ST act for comparing Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati with a prostitute.
