The Prime Minister had said that he will quit public life if Team Anna's charges of irregularities in allocation of coal blocks when he held the portfolio are proved.
Varanasi: Attacking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the coal block allocation controversy, BJP leader Uma Bharti has said he should retire from politics.
"The Prime Minister should not wait till corruption charges levelled against him are proved. He should immediately quit public life," Bharti told media in Varanasi on Wednesday.
The BJP leader was here to participate in a function.
