The panel is now slated to travel to Tirunelveli to meet the district officials and agitators.

Chennai: A four-member panel on the Kudankulam nuclear power plant on Friday met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, following which it said that the report would be submitted "as soon as possible".

Referring to the report, former AEC chairman Srinivasan said that the report would be submitted at the earliest, for which the panel would travel to Tirunelveli to meet the district officials.

He further said that the panel would meet the agitators on Sunday and ask them if they had any more questions about the safety concerns related to the plant.

The panel will also enquire if the agitators have gone through all the safety reports.

Srinivasan, meanwhile, denied any expansion in the panel.
