Bangalore: Facing revolt from dissidents from within his party BJP, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa sacked four ministers.

All the ministers that he has sacked after they revolted against his government are independent MLAs. Ministers Venkataramanappa, Shivaraja Tangadagi, Narendraswamy and D Sudhakar have been sacked.

Yeddyurappa also said that he will ask controversial minister Katta Subramanya Naidu to resign. With the sacking of four ministers, all five independents supporting the government are out of the Karnataka government now.

"There is no problem at all", Yeddyurappa had told reporters on Tuesday night. "They (the dissidents) are all coming back to my house late at night. I have spoken (to the dissidents) by telephone", he said.

Asked what demands the dissidents have put forward, the chief minister claimed "they don't have any demand".

He said he has the strength to face any "trial by fire". Yeddyurappa said he has convened a cabinet meet scheduled for Wednesday to take decision on "many important issues".

On JD-S leader and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy levelling allegations against him pertaining to denotifying of land in violation of court orders, he said the former had taken "so many decisions" when he was at the helm.

Yeddyurappa said he has information on denotification of land benefitting Kumaraswamy's family and if required he would "reveal everything".

Meanwhile, a ministerial delegation is in Chennai holding discussions with dissident leader and Excise Minister M.P. Renukacharya, party sources said.
