Kejriwal asks L-G to withdraw letter to President on Delhi government formation
AAP leaders have submitted the CD of the sting operation which teh claim shows BJP trying to buy their MLAs for Rs 4 crore.

New Delhi: AAP leaders on Wednesday met Delhi L-G Najeeb Jung and asked him to withdraw the letter to the President seeking his permission to invite the BJP to form the government in Delhi.

"We have submitted the CD of our sting operation which shows BJP trying to buy our MLA for Rs 4 crore. We requested the L-G to watch the video. We also asked him to revise the September 4 letter he sent to President Pranab Mukherjee in which, in a way, he has sought permission to invite BJP for government formation," said AAP leader Manish Sisodia who accompanied party chief Arvind Kejriwal during the meeting.

The AAP leader accused BJP of indulging in horse trading to form the government in Delhi. "Even if BJP forms the government by horse trading, the problems of Delhi will not be solved. Such a government will be a burden on the people of Delhi and forming government this way will be betraying them," Sisodia said.

At the meeting, AAP asked Jung to dissolve the Delhi Assembly. Sisodia said that if required they will submit the CD to the President. AAP's meeting with Jung comes a day after the Supreme Court gave the central government a month to end the deadlock over government formation in Delhi.

In his letter to the President, the LG had referred to the resignation of the AAP government on February 14 saying that it was not in "the interest of public to hold elections in such a short time after the elections of December 2013."

"In accordance with the Constitutional convention and also keeping in mind the law laid down by the Supreme Court that every effort must be made to form a popular government before recommending dissolution, I shall be grateful if the Hon'ble President of India grants approval to invite BJP, that is even today the single largest party in the legislature to seek their interest in forming the government (MLA strength of all parties as well as independents is attached)."

"Should the BJP agree, I would ask them to demonstrate their strength to form a stable government on the floor of the house within a stipulated time frame, possibly one week," the letter said. BJP had emerged the single largest party after the Assembly polls in December last year with 32 seats including ally Akali Dal's one MLA in the 70-member House.
