New Delhi: Ahead of Narendra Modi government completing one year in power on May 26, 2015, the Congress lashed out at it saying the Prime Minister is more concerned about NRIs than residents of India. Senior Congress leader and former union minister Kapil Sibal on Tuesday slammed Modi over his comment that Indians were ashamed of being born in the country before his government came to power.

Sibal said, "Modi blows his own trumpet abroad. He can't stay in country. A wrong person has become India's Prime Minister."

Questioning Modi's claims about US President Barack Obama's visit to India, Sibal said, "Modi says Obama's arrival in India is his achievement. Did Obama's arrival bring investments?"

Sibal recited a poetry mocking Modi's one year, "Baat mann ki prime time, encounter each time, suicide high time, acche din only mine."

Criticising NDA government's one year in power, Sibal said, "Corporate sector is in decline. Banks are in distress. Real estate sector, too, is not working well."

Modi has been on a tour of China, Mongolia and South Korea. During all his foreign tours Modi has claimed that his government restored India's pride.

Even in South Korea's capital Seoul, Modi on Monday had said, "Earlier you felt ashamed of being born Indian" and that his term in office is what has changed that perception.

What's your reaction?
