New Delhi: As the trends emerge, it is becoming clear that the Bharatiya Janata Party may fall short of magical number of 41 to be able to form government in Jharkhand. After stunning victory in Lok Sabha and assembly elections, the BJP was riding high on the Narendra Modi wave but has somehow lost the sheen.
Modi was leading the party from the front and even addressed several rallies in the state hitting out at the dynasty rule of the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. The party did not project any chief ministerial candidate.
According to the current trends, the JMM is at number two and the Congress is at a distant third.

#Decision2014 At this point, @BJPJharkhand doing worse than expected. Leading 36 alone + AJSU 3, out of 81. Is #Jharkhand gonna surprise?— Deepu Sebastian (@deepusebastian) December 23, 2014
Disappointed 4m Jharkhand. Finally my fear turned true. Ego war of stalwarts have defeated BJP. Now time to bring Raghuwar das or Saryu Ray— Samit Kumar (@SamitLive) December 23, 2014
Religious conversation not worked, BJP lost a major chance to get majority. #Jharkhand— Kumar Krishna (@iKumarKrishna) December 23, 2014
More than a tad bit disappointed with Jharkhand. But then that itself speaks volumes of how high the BJP aims and the opposite for Cong.— Suhas A R (@Suhas2009) December 23, 2014
So #Modi magic worked in #Jharkhand. Yet another election results that favors @BJP4India. Congratulations to Saffron brigade. (y)— Priyanka Tiwary (@PriyankaT06) December 23, 2014
