New Delhi: BJP on Saturday said it was closely watching the developments in the wake of DMK pulling out of the Congress-led UPA government and maintained this was "another blow" to the Manmohan Singh dispensation which has been facing serious charges of corruption.
"The Congress party which is already reeling under incessant and severe charges of corruption seemingly faces another blow with DMK threatening to part ways," BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told PTI.
He said BJP is keeping a "close watch" on the developments.
The main opposition has targeted the government in the past several months on corruption issues relating to Commonwealth Games projects, Adarsh Housing Society and the 2G Spectrum allocation scam.
DMK, which has 18 Lok Sabha MPs, on Saturday withdrew support to the UPA government due to differences over seat-sharing in the forthcoming Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu. It has stated that it will only give issue-based support to the government.
