New Delhi: The Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh may not be a top ranking political leader who can pull a big crowd or garner votes for the Congress. But, he has now become a top 'crowd' puller on twitter. After he admitted to his relationship with a TV journalist Amrita Rai in a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, 'Digvijaya Singh' has been a top trending topic on micro blogging site Twitter.
The virtual world is having a field day ridiculing the 67 year old former Madhya Pradesh chief minister with tweets and instant cartoons. Two hashtags #digvijayasingh and #yuvajosh have been trending since Wednesday afternoon.
Some tweets are funny and harmless. Some are down right cheap and abusive. Some cartoons posted on twitter are almost defamatory.
Since Digvijaya Singh is known for his no-holds barred attack on the BJP and the AAP, some fans of these two parties are now taking revenge on him by tweeting all kinds of things against him.
However, the non-stop online attack does not seem to have affected him. He has posted 8-10 tweets today. But, not a single tweet on himself or his relationship which has now become public.
Unperturbed, Digvijaya Singh has continued his attack his favourite subject, the BJP's PM nominee Narendra Modi.
