New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party MLA Vinod Kumar Binny on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). A former MLA from Laxmi Nagar, Binny had quit Aam Aadmi Party last year.
Binny is the third former associate of Arvind Kejriwal who joined BJP.
On Friday, after Kiran Bedi, former AAP leader Shazia Ilmi also joined the saffron party.
Elating on joining the party, Ilmi said, "There is a new political discourse in the country and we all must be a part of it. I felt this is the right party and I din't think twice when I got an offer."
Recalling her past with the AAP, she said, "There have been many reasons why we AAP and I parted ways," while adding that BJP stands for good governance and development.
