Varun Dhawan, who has been basking under the success of his recently released film Bawaal, has started working on his next film. He has been currently shooting for director Atlee’s highly anticipated film VD18. Well, looks like the actor had a tough day on the set as he suffered an unfortunate leg injury. The actor took to social media to share with fans an update on his health. He is taking ice therapy for some relief.
On Wednesday, Badrinath Ki Dulhania posted a video of himself wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts. In the video, he can be heard explaining, “I hurt my leg, I think, while shooting, and I have no idea how I hurt my leg, but this is what I am doing at the moment.” He then proceeds to show his injured leg immersed in a basin filled with ice water. Varun mentioned that he was attempting ice water therapy and described the experience as “freezing.”

Atlee, in collaboration with producer Murad Khetani, is working on the action-packed entertainer VD18. The movie will be directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees. Reportedly, Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi have joined Varun for the cast of VD18. According to reports, the movie is slated for release on May 31, 2024. This is for the first time Atlee and Varun Dhawan is working together. As per the reports of Pinkvilla, sources close to the production have revealed, “Varun will be shooting for the film’s promo in Mumbai, and will be combining the schedule with a few important sequence shoots as well. The preparation is going on in full swing, while the makers are also simultaneously working on the plan to officially announce the movie with the promo that they are going to shoot tomorrow. It will be an entertaining promo packed with action and drama, and will feature VD in a never seen before avatar.”
Apart from VD 18. Varun Dhawan will next be seen in Citadel’s Indian adaptation. Samantha Ruth Prabhu will appear alongside him in the series. The much-awaited show, which is directed by Raj and DK, is now in the final stages of production.
