Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj stand out as one of the most-loved actor-director pairs in Bollywood. Their incredible chemistry in their creative projects is further deepened by their genuine friendship off-screen. Tabu recently spoke about how Vishal understands her like no one else.
During the promotion of their latest film, Khufiya, Tabu and Vishal fondly reminisced about their 28-year-long friendship. Their collaboration began with Gulzar’s Maachis, where Tabu played the lead role and Vishal Bhardwaj served as the music director.
Pointing out that their deep understanding of each other can occasionally be risky, Vishal told Bollywood Bubble, “Because we know each other so well, when some actor does something stupid, we don’t look at each other because we will burst into laughter.” Tabu added that in such situations, they deliberately avoid making eye contact. “The thing is, others should also not get intimidated realising that we know each other so well and that we are exchanging looks or something.”
Considering the fact that Tabu initially turned down the role in Haider twice, Vishal mentioned that he never thought of casting any other actor. He said, “I knew that she’s only going to play it. She asked me why I was wasting my time. But I knew she was going to do it,” Tabu chimed in with a laugh, saying, “He knows me too well.”
Recently, an SRK fan chose to express his sentiments in response to one of Shahrukh’s recent posts, saying that it is high time for a new addition to the actor’s filmography. He voiced his plea, urging Shahrukh Khan to work with the actress Tabu. In his tweet, the fan wrote, “Sara din Twitter pe pade rehte ho har aire gaire ko reply dene achha Tabu ke sath ek film kyon ni kar lete?” This fan’s request has resonated with numerous individuals within the digital community, who endorsed the idea of Shahrukh Khan finally doing a romantic venture with Tabu.
