R Madhavan Reveals His Wife's Reaction To His Shaitaan Avatar: 'Woh Mujhe Alag Nazar Se Dekhne Lagi'
Shaitaan stars R Madhaan, Ajay Devgn and Jyotika in the lead. The film is set to hit theatres on March 8, 2024.

When R Madhavan released the trailer of his upcoming movie, Shaitaan, on Thursday, he left everyone completely stunned. The film, which also stars Ajay Devgn and Jyotika, presents Madhavan in his scary and devilish avatar. During the trailer launch event, Madhavan revealed his wife’s reaction to his ‘Shaitaan’ look. He shared that his wife started looking at him “in a different way” and admitted that the film will surely leave her disturbed.

“I clearly remember that when I showed this trailer and picture to my wife, she started looking at me in a different way altogether. Today, she told me that I maintain my distance while speaking to her. So, I think, this film has impacted my personal life to a certain level”, he jokingly said as quoted by Bollywood Hungama.

The 53-year-old actor further shared that he never expected the makers to take the horror elements in Shaitaan to this level. “When I had decided on doing the film, I never expected the level we were going towards, nor did I expect to what level we were planning to scare audiences,” he said and then added, “I couldn’t believe that I could push myself to this level, neither did I expect to do something which will scare people from approaching me even in real life.”

Ajay Devgn announced Shaitaan earlier this year. The film is presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios. It is being produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and directed by Vikas Bahl.

Shaitaan marks Jyotika’s first Bollywood film in 25 years. She made her acting debut with Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, in Hindi, back in 1997. She then explored the Tamil film industry and made a mark for herself in the South. She returned to Bollywood in 2001 for the bilingual film Little John. The film is set to hit theatres on March 8, 2024.
