Kangana Ranaut Reveals A 'Big Superstar' Once Told Her 'Do Gaane Karo, Kamar Hilaao...'

Kangana Ranaut is known for never holding back her honest opinions and calling people out on behaviour that doesn’t sit right with her. Her fans often circulate her videos online trying to guess which celebrity Kangana is talking about. Recently, an old video of the actress has resurfaced on Reddit in which she can be seen telling Anupam Kher about a big Bollywood actor’s opinions on heroines and their roles.

Talking to Anupam, Kangana said that an actor once told her, “Ladkiyon ki position hai iss industry main, do gaane karo, thodi kamar hilao, do dialogue bolo voh bhi agar kaha jaaye tumhe aur side main ho jao. Bas basically pretty dikho (The position of women is as such in the industry that you do two songs, sway your waist, say two dialogues if asked. Basically, look pretty).”

She added, “Toh itna sa expectation hoti hai tum logo se, itna zyada acting karne ki kya zaroorat hai? Unke words yeh the ki, ‘Tumhari ek film main tumne itni acting karli hai jitni maine apni 100 filmo main nahi kari.’ He’s a very big superstar (When the expectation from you is so little, then why do you want to act so much? His words were, ‘In one film you have acted so much that I have not acted in my 100 films.’)”

While some fans tried to guess who Kangana was talking about, one fan wrote, “Good on her for not taking the superstar’s advice & churning out hit after hit and giving us the audience class A cinema to view! I’m ever so grateful Kangana. (Pun intended).” Another added, “Kangana started off with the correct intention and with the right kind of films and the correct attitude she could have brought about a monumental change for females in Bollywood. But she got lost midway and it’s just sad that now all people can see is her spewing garbage on social media and not her talent.”

Meanwhile, Kangana and Anupam will soon share screen space in the upcoming film Emergency, helmed by Kangana as the director.
