Ameesha Patel, who was seen in Gadar 2 with Sunny Deol, treated her fans to a sneak peek into her opulent handbag collection during an interview with a news portal. Interestingly, she has been collecting the handbags since the age of 12. During the reveal, she offered a glimpse into her luxurious collection, with one particular handbag stealing the spotlight. In a humorous tone, she pointed out that the cost of this specific bag could easily rival the price of a house.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha disclosed that her collection boasts an impressive 16 Birkin bags, with one rare bag priced at Rs 60-70 lakh. Ameesha Patel referred to her exquisite crocodile-skin Birkin as the “Rolls-Royce of bags” and mentioned that one needs to be on a long waitlist to get a chance to buy such a bag. She jokingly remarked, “You can buy a house in place of this bag,” as she flaunted her collection. The actress further said that this particular handbag comes at a significantly lower cost compared to the extravagant diamond-adorned bags owned by celebrities like Rihanna and Victoria Beckham.
Ameesha Patel’s Birkin collection merely scratches the surface of her adoration for luxury bags. With a playful tone, she described her bags as “just a drop in the ocean,” hinting that her collection includes many more treasures that she chose not to reveal during the interview.
Ameesha recalled how her fascination with high-end bags began and spoke about her first luxury bag, a Moschino-Louis Vuitton school bag that she had at the age of 12 or 13. Her love for designer bags grew from there, and she received her first Chanel bag at the age of 16 as a birthday gift.
She also showcased her another luxury bag, a customized Goyard bag. The actress recounted how her household staff immediately described it as a “sabzi ka thaila (vegetable bag)” upon seeing it. However, she added that her version is a customised design which took approximately 2-3 months.
Ameesha Patel’s journey in the Bollywood film industry began with her debut in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai in 2000, followed by her breakthrough performance in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Though the actress hasn’t appeared in many films in the last few years, but was seen in Anil Sharma’s latest released Gadar 2. The film also starred Sunny Deol in the lead role and has amassed over Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office.
