Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has never shied away from talking about the most controversial moments in her life, from her highly publicised breakup with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan or her shocking removal from five big banner Hindi movies including Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chalte Chalte.
Now, an old video of Aishwarya talking about being “a survivor” has surfaced on the internet. The video is from an old episode of Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee With Karan. During a rapid fire segment, Karan Johar asks Aishwarya about what kind of man she’d like to marry. “You guys will know when it happens. I can’t think of what prototypes. Considering the kind of experiences I have had, I’d like to take life as it comes,” Aishwarya replies. He further asks Aishwarya about one person that comes to her mind when he says, ‘a survivor.’ “Me,” Aishwarya quickly responds. “You’re a survivor?” Karan asks the actress. “Oh yeah, and everyone knows that!” However, she refrained from divulging the detail.
For the unversed, the episode was a part of the first season of Koffee With Karan and Aishwarya Rai appeared on the show along with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

On the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in the historical action drama Ponniyin Selvan: II. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film was released in April this year and was widely loved by all. Following the release, Abhishek Bachchan also praised his wife and mentioned that both, his mother Jaya Bachchan (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani) and wife Aishwarya should work more often. “It is always emotional. With my father, I am always able to view his work as an actor. With my mother, I can’t. I am a terrible judge of her work because for me that’s maa. Like for Aishwarya and dad, I can look upon their work,” he told Instant Bollywood.
