After 15 years, KG Markose has made a grand comeback to the Malayalam movie industry with Naslen and Mamitha Baiju-fronted Premalu. The movie hit the screens today, February 9, 2024. The makers launched the promo song titled Telangana Bommalu in which he lent his voice.
KG Markose has sung a song titled Telangana Bommalu in Girish AD’s movie Premalu. It is billed as a full-fledged romantic comedy entertainer which is written by Girish AD and Kiran Josey. Telangana Bommalu is composed by Vishnu Vijay and penned by Suhail Koya. To increase the hype for the movie and to announce his comeback, the makers launched the song on social media yesterday. The text in the video reads, “Re-introducing KG Markose.” The caption read, “Telangana Bommalu. Premalu Promo Song Out Now. In Cinemas from tomorrow. Bookings Open!”

Premalu is produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran. The movie will also star actors like Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeeth Pratap, Althaf Salim and Meenakshi Raveendran in supporting yet important roles. The cinematography is being handled by Ajmal Sabu.
KG Markose is a popular Indian playback singer from Kerala. He has delivered many Christian devotional songs and has sung in more than 100 movies from the 1980s to the 2000s. His career began in the early 80s with the song Kannipoomanam in Balachandra Menon’s Kelkkaatha Sabdham movie. He gained fame with his debut performance and soon he became the go-to singer. He has performed in more than 3,000 stage shows in India, Europe, America, Australia and several Gulf nations as well.
KG Markose is fondly referred to as Devagayakan in the Malayalam music industry for his soulful renditions in the devotional field. His song Israyelin Nadhan is quite famous among Christian Keralites across the world. He catapulted to fame as the leading Christian devotional singer in the Malayalam industry and has sung for about 70 movies. His craft earned him various accolades and awards including the Kerala Catholic Bishop Council Award (KCBC), the NANA Audio & Video Award, the Mappila Sangeetha Academy Award, the Kerala Film Critics Prathibha Award, the Malayalam Television Viewers Award (MTVA) and various others.
