Actor Arun Vijay received adulation for his acting skills in the film Mission: Chapter 1, directed by AL Vijay. This film was released on the big screens on January 12, 2024, and garnered positive reviews. Now, Arun’s fans have been eagerly waiting for the film to be released on the OTT platform. They have been constantly asking him for updates regarding this matter. Arun has now answered them with a tweet. Mission: Chapter 1 stars a stellar star cast comprising Amy Jackson, Nimisha Sajayan, and others and was released on the screens in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
As of now, Arun Vijay commands a sizable fan base and popularity as well, primarily in the Tamil cinema. In an earlier interview with the Outlook portal, Arun recalled the time when he had started his journey in the film industry. The Chakravyuha actor recalled that he was not mature when he entered the film industry. Arun remembered that his journey was a learning curve and he had to fight through a lot of hardships to achieve success in the industry. Acknowledging his privilege, Arun said that his entry into the films was easy but the name of his father and actor Vijayakumar made everyone have many expectations from him. Arun said that he used to do only one film at a time and was very cautious regarding his selection from films since those days.
On the personal front, Arun got married to Aarathi, the daughter of film producer Dr N S Mohan in 2006. He has two children named Arnav and Purvi with his wife.
Currently, Arun is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film Vanangaan, written and directed by Bala. This film is currently in the post-production stage and is expected to be released at the cinemas in 2024.
