Madhuri Dixit is one of the most successful actresses in the Bollywood industry. She has made a huge fan base with her outstanding acting prowess. She, as the female lead, worked in several top-grossing action dramas, including Ram Lakhan (1989), Tridev (1989), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and the romantic drama Dil, to name a few. However, one of her superhit films, Pukar.

Pukar was released in the year 2000. The movie turned out to be a huge success, and the actress received immense appreciation for her performance.

Meanwhile, recently, the actress opened up about one of her dreadful experiences while shooting for a song in the movie in a light chiffon saree in the cold of Alaska. Let’s take a look.

In a media interaction, Madhuri shared that she was shooting for the song Kismat Se Tum Hum Ko Mile with Anil Kapoor for the action thriller film Pukaar in Alaska. While Anil Kapoor was wearing jeans, a t-shirt and a black jacket, Madhuri was seen grooving to the song wearing a light blue chiffon saree. The actress further said she couldn’t shoot the song on the first day due to the extreme cold weather. The team had reached around 4 p.m. to shoot for the song on the glaciers and choreographer Farah Khan asked her to sing. While she was trying to sing, she couldn’t even move her lips as she had frozen.

Madhuri’s condition had worsened. She could not shoot the scene. There was also a doctor on the set. He checked on her. Then they saw that Madhuri’s lips had turned blue due to the cold. After that, a heater was immediately brought on the set. Madhuri sat near the heater and relaxed a bit. After that, she somehow managed to shoot for the song.

In terms of the movie, Pukar was co-written and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The cinematography was done by Ashok Mehta, Santosh Sivan, Baba Azmi and Chota K. Naidu. It stars Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles, along with Namrata Shirodkar, Danny Denzongpa, Shivaji Satam and Om Puri. The score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman.

However, the movie bagged two National Film Awards at the 48th National Film Awards.
