Alia Bhatt might be a romantic today but at some point, she didn’t like like the concept of Valentine’s Day. Back in the day, she had said that she is tired of all the excitement about that day. She said she thinks Valentine’s Day is too hyped up when she was on the TV show Koffee with Karan ten years ago. In the episode from 2014, Alia attended the chat show with Parineeti Chopra. When Karan asked about being Alia being single, she said she’s fine being single but feels a bit sad when she’s surrounded by couples, especially on holidays. Then she added, “Valentine’s Day is really overrated!”
When Karan wondered if she was saying so because she was single, Alia refuted and said, “No! Valentine’s Day and New Year’s. Once my boyfriend took me out on Valentine’s Day and he didn’t talk to me the whole time. So I think it is overrated.”
When Karan and Parineeti asked why, Alia said, “We didn’t do anything, we were just kids.” Parineeti jumped in with a joke, “I think that’s why he didn’t talk to you because you didn’t do anything!”
Alia Bhatt married the veteran actor’s son Ranbir Kapoor in an intimate wedding ceremony in Mumbai in 2022. The couple tied the knot at their Bandra home with their close friends and family in attendance. Only 40 people were a part of their festivities and Bhatt recently shared that it was a conscious decision. They welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in Jigra. The film is being directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself. She also has Love and War With Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the pipeline. It will star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal as well.
