Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been in the limelight ever since their separate arrivals at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. Recently, Abhishek stirred social media by liking a post about the difficulties of divorce, sparking speculation about their relationship. Amid this buzz, Abhishek’s throwback tweet regarding Aishwarya has resurfaced.
It happened when Abhishek shared his enthusiastic review of “Ponniyin Selvan 2”, in which Aishwarya played the role of Nandini, Queen of Pazhuvoor. Abhishek’s tweet read, “#PS2 is simply Fantastic!!! At a loss for words right now. So overwhelmed. Well done to the entire team #ManiRatnam @chiyaan, @trishtrashers, @actor_jayamravi, @Karthi_Offl and the rest of the cast and crew. And so, so proud of the Mrs. Her best by far. #AishwaryaRaiBachchan.”
A fan responded to this tweet by suggesting that Abhishek should let Aishwarya sign more movies and take care of their daughter, Aaradhya. The comment read, “As you should! Now let her sign more movies and you take care of Aaradhya.” Abhishek’s response was swift and firm: “Let her sign??? Sir, she certainly doesn’t need my permission to do anything. Especially something she loves.”

Abhishek’s response was praised by many for reinforcing the idea that Aishwarya, like any professional, has the right to make her own career decisions without requiring her husband’s approval. “Ponniyin Selvan 2,” released on April 28, featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a pivotal role, along with stars like Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Sobhita Dhulipala.
Aishwarya had also made a solo appearance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Shubh Aashirwad ceremony on July 13. This unusual move raised eyebrows, especially since Amitabh Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda and Nikhil Nanda had arrived together for the ceremony. The senior Bachchan was also seen posing with his granddaughter Navya.
