Get ready for the next part of Weak Hero Class, as the team has finally wrapped up shooting for the second season. In December last year, Netflix announced the production of Weak Hero Class 2 with a star-studded cast comprising Park Ji Hoon, Ryeoun, Yoo Su Bin, Choi Min Yeong, Bae Na Ra, Lee Min Jae, and Lee Jun Young. After months of filming, Ryeoun confirmed at a recent event that they had completed the show ahead of its 2025 premiere.
At the event, the Twinkling Watermelon star spoke about his upcoming ventures and activities, further revealing details about the second season of Weak Hero Class. Mentioning that the show’s shooting has been completed, Ryeoun also shared that only a few final touches are to be made before the release.

Ryeoun also opened up about how the entire cast went for a celebration after wrapping up their shooting schedules, hinting that the show will be released in January 2025. “Most recently, as the drama called Weak Hero Class 2 concluded filming, we made a toast with friends to celebrate… In January of next year, Weak Hero Season 2 will be out,” he said.

While Park Ji Hoon will return to take on the lead role, he will be joined by Ryeoun and others in significant roles. Directed and written by You Su Min, the show is based on the Weak Hero webtoon by Kim Jin Seok. The first season, featuring Ji Hoon as Yeon Si Eun, revolves around how a physically weak but academically brilliant student becomes a target of bullies. Yeon Si Eun eventually uses his brain to win the battles. Following the success of Weak Hero Class 1, the makers even reached an agreement to premiere the show on Netflix.
The upcoming second season will continue to follow his journey as he transfers to a new school with the past trauma of being unable to protect his friend. However, he manages to make some new friends at the school.
