Watch: Former EXO Member Tao Makes His Relationship Public With Ex-SM Entertainment Trainee Xu Yi Yang

After his departure from the South Korean boy band EXO, its former member Tao has been working on establishing his own company in China. While fans are already aware of the new endeavours in his professional life, the former K-pop idol has now announced one more new update regarding himself which has sent his fans into a frenzy. Huang Zitao, popularly known as Tao, 31, has made some announcements about his relationship status. He has officially confirmed his relationship with labelmate Xu Yi Yang, who was also a trainee under SM Entertainment, reports Koreaboo.

On July 14, the couple announced their relationship on the Chinese social media app Douyin. They shared a video in which they each showed a picture of the other on their phone. As they lower their hands, they physically appear from behind the phone, revealing themselves together. The video then transitions to them walking through a field, arms wrapped around each other, grinning and gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes.

As soon as they announced the news, fans quickly took to social media and sent the lovely couple warm wishes and congratulatory messages.

“HUANG ZITAO OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH XU YIYANG ON HIS WEIBO POST!!! May we always be us Xu Yiyang. Omyghaddddd finallyyyy Congratulations to our new couple!!! I’m so happy, our baby panda isn’t a baby anymore,” wrote a fan.

Chinese artist Tao and Yiyang had reportedly met at SM Entertainment back in 2014. At that time, Yiyang was a trainee and had already debuted as a member of EXO. After their work in Korea, they moved back to China where both of them pursued their solo careers in the local entertainment industry.

Previously, the duo had also sparked marriage rumours when Tao was seen apparently proposing to Yiyang, reports Koreaboo.
