Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur Complete First Schedule Shooting Of David Dhawan's Next: Report

Varun Dhawan is one of the busiest actors in the industry currently. He has been shooting for multiple films including John Baby. There was a report saying that he has collaborated again with his father David Dhawan for a film. Reportedly, it is titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. And now in a fresh update, Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur have completed the first schedule of shooting.

Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development saying that the first shooting schedule of the upcoming David Dhawan caper with Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur has wrapped in Mumbai. The untitled film has been creating buzz for quite some time now as it brings VD and David together for the 4th time after films like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No. 1. While the first schedule of the film is done now, Varun will be working on his other upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The source informs that he’ll be back to shooting with his dad and the rest of the team in November after he’s done with SSKTK.

Pinkvilla has reported that Ramesh Taurani’s production had been titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. “It’s a quirky title in sync with the world that David Dhawan is looking to create with Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Sreelela. It’s a fun family entertainer with the love triangle of the trio at the centre. David Dhawan has cracked a concept that’s fresh and original, and is confident to recreate the magic of comedies on the big screen again,” revealed a source.

“Varun is shooting today with Maniesh Paul and Kubbra Sait. The entire ensemble will be coming together as the journey progresses. Get ready for a typical David Dhawan comedy with colours, music and a big star-cast,” the source concluded. It is also mentioned in the report that the film is gearing for release on October 2, 2025.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Citadel with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Raj and DK, Citadel is the Indian adaptation of the International series of the same name which was created by the director duo, the Russo Brothers. According to strong reports, the actress is performing high-octane action sequences in the film along with Varun Dhawan.
