Nina Dobrev, popularly known for her role in The Vampire Diaries, recently faced a setback after getting into a severe motorbike accident. The incident took place on May 20 following which Dobrev underwent medical attention and is now in the process of recovery with a noticeable leg brace. Dobrev took to social media providing her followers with an update on her recovery with glimpses of her daily life while on the mend.
The series of snapshots she posted portrayed her engaging in various activities. She is seen pampering herself to a skincare routine in one of the photos, donning a face mask. In another snapshot, she posted her meal of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Alongside these moments, Dobrev provided snapshots of her spending time with her furry companions. She also shared a heartwarming video featuring her boyfriend Shaun White, an Olympic snowboarder, demonstrating his quirky dance moves.
The caption accompanying the pictures read, “life looks a lil different lately trading in the “selfie” for the “leggie”. get ready for the leg content because that’s all I’ve got in my camera roll these days.”
In her initial post addressing the accident, Dobrev shared two photos. The first picture captured her moments before riding on the electric bike while the second one featured her lying on the bed.
She captioned the images, “how it started vs how it’s going.”
She further reassured her followers with another picture shared on her Instagram stories. The picture captured her sitting on her hospital bed. In the caption, she conveyed that she was alright but acknowledged the challenging road to recovery.
“I’m ok but it’s going to be a long road of recovery ahead,” she wrote.
Notably, the actress also vowed to never ride on the “dirt bike” again in her life. However, she refrained from sharing any specifics of the accident or disclosing any other major injuries she may have sustained.
Talking about her illustrious career, Nina Dobrev has left her mark beyond her iconic role in The Vampire Diaries. She also featured in the drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation and films like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Let’s Be Cops, The Final Girls and Flatliners.
The actress will be next seen gracing the big screen in Chris Nelson’s Reunion, a comedy-thriller centred around former high school classmates unravelling a murder. Reunion is scheduled for a digital release on June 28, 2024.
