In Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kabir Khan assembled a stellar cast with Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Harshaali Malhotra. The film follows an Indian man helping a speech-impaired girl return to Pakistan. Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently talked about working with Salman Khan, praising the great atmosphere on set. He recalled a tough scene where Salman had to carry him, describing the difficult terrain, exhaustion, and lack of oxygen. Director Kabir Khan eventually told them to sit down, which provided relief.
Nawazuddin also shared, during an interview with Zoom, how enjoyable it was to work on Bajrangi Bhaijaan, recalling the positive vibe and shared meals after shooting. He said, “Yeh shoot amazing tha actually, Bajrangi Bhaijaan ka. Salman bhai ke filmon ka mohol bahut accha hota hai. We sit together and eat post shoot. (The shoot was amazing, of Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s. Salman Bhai’s films are always fun.)”
In an interview with Connect Cine, Kabir Khan talked about Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 and its script status. He said there are no solid plans yet, but there are various ideas and interesting possibilities for continuing the story. He added, “It could be Adventures of Bajrangi and Chand Nawab, so many ways of taking it forward lekin as of now at a script level hamare pass kuch nahi hai. But as of now, at a script level, we don’t have anything.)”
Meanwhile, in an interview with the Indian Express, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that he and Anurag Kashyap are not close friends. He mentioned, “Anurag and I are not even friends, frankly speaking. If we sit together we might not even talk to each other for hours. We are like that. We have flown together, travelled together for 5-6 hours without saying a word.”
Nawazuddin Siddiqui rose to fame as one of the most in-demand actors in Bollywood. He took on various odd jobs to make ends meet, while pursuing his acting aspirations. From working as a watchman to selling coriander, he persevered for over a decade. Despite landing small roles in a few successful films, it was his remarkable performance in Gangs of Wasseypur that propelled him to stardom.
