Remember the Tamil movie Iyarkai? Well, the ones who have seen the film, cannot forget the ever-so-beautiful Kutty Radhika. In the film directed by SP Jananadhan, Radhika’s appearance was no less than a visual treat, leaving the audience spellbound. The actress went on to give numerous hits, soon emerging as one of the popular names in the South Indian industry.

Kutty Radhika stepped into the limelight at the age of 14 with her debut in the Kannada movie Ninagagi. She gained recognition after she graced the screen alongside renowned stars such as Upendra and V Ravichandran. Following her notable journey in Kannada cinema, Radhika also embarked on a venture into Kollywood with Iyarkai, headlined by Shaam and Arun Vijay. Subsequently, she bagged many Tamil films like Varnajalam and Meesai Madhavan. She also featured in a few Telugu movies.

Kutty Radhika got married to businessman Ratan Kumar in 2000. However, their marriage did not last long. The two parted ways owing to their differences of opinion following which Ratan Kumar passed away. The actress was caught up in the controversies after the police conducted several inquiries into Ratan’s death. Post controversy, the actress distanced herself from the limelight.

The actress, then, entered a relationship with HD Kumaraswamy. In 2006, the couple exchanged vows in a discreet manner. Their marriage was kept secret which the world didn’t know until their photos from the birthday celebrations of their daughter Shamika were leaked online.

Radhika, in 2010, revealed that she married the JDS leader and has a daughter with him. If the reports are to be believed, the former Chief Minister was 47 at the time of marriage while Radhika was 20. Notably, HD Kumaraswamy’s first marriage took place in the year 1986.

Radhika went against her father’s will to marry HD Kumaraswamy, leaving him shocked. According to media reports, Radhika’s net worth post her marriage with the politician is Rs 124 crore while her husband HD Kumaraswamy owns assets worth Rs 181 crore.
