Renowned Marathi actor Kshitij Zarapkar recently passed away on Sunday, May 5. At the age of 54, the actor died tragically due to a heart attack.

According to a report, he had been battling cancer for several months. He breathed his last in Mumbai.

His mortal remains were cremated yesterday at 3:30 p.m., following a last darshan at his bungalow in Shivaji Park, Dadar (west), Mumbai.

From his fans to celebrities, all were left devastated by the shocking news. Many have taken to social media to express their grief and console the grieving family.

According to reports, he died as a result of several organ failure, which were followed by a heart attack. His untimely demise came as a shock to the Marathi entertainment industry, as many took to their official social media handles to grieve the loss of the actor.

He had created a name for himself in the fraternity with his down-to-earth attitude. Aside from acting, he was also a director and a talented writer.

Hearing the shocking news, actress Archana Neverekar penned a heartfelt note for her late friend. Sharing the photo of the late actor on her official Instagram handle, the actress wrote in Marathi, “Why did you rush so much, Kshitij Zarapkar? How many years of acquaintance and friendship… from working with him to directing my film… I felt bad when Supriya called me. Numb, if you were smart. I am afraid our last meeting will not happen. On the work front, Kshitij Zarapkar was last seen in the drama mystery thriller series Mukhbir: The Story of a Spy. The series revolved around the Sino-India war, in which a highly trained Indian spy entered Pakistan on a mission to gather crucial intelligence and stop Pakistan from launching an attack against India.

He was also popularly known for a wide variety of works; he has been a part of movies like GolaBerij, Thenga, Ekulati Ek, and Ideachi Kalpana, to name a few.
