TV actress Kishwer Merchantt has been one of the most consistent contestants of 'Bigg Boss 9'. Unabashed of her acts, and always ready to speak her mind, Kishwer was one actress who knew how to impose her presence in the house. The actress entered the show with her boyfriend Suyyash Rai, and smartly called the shots, for her benefit.
To put it simply she was someone, who had a bit of past contestants such as Dolly Bindra, Rakhi Sawant, Veena Malik and Gauhar Khan rolled in one. This was because in every situation, audience expected a weird reaction from Kishwar as she would neither be intimidated by Salman Khan nor would worry about her image.
Let’s take a look at five major things that made Kishwer an interesting contestant on the controversial reality show:
Dominating bully: Right from day one, Kishwer Merchant has always been Type A-control freak, who would try to impose her rules. Her attention seeking gimmicks were amazingly low brow and she rarely regretted spitting on someone’s food or getting into bickering or making a dig at Mandana Karimi, one of her biggest rivals.
Toy boy lover: ‘She is the man in the relationship’ co-contestant Aman Varma had rightly pointed out in one of the episodes. Though she entered the show with boyfriend Suyyash Rai, but, rarely put up an act of a gushing love-bird, as she was way too interested in the gimmicks to get audience attention. More often than not, Suyyash would simply follow what Kishwer dictates and the two emerged as a team.
Fierce team player: Just like former 'Bigg Boss' winner Gauhar Khan, who would give her best to participate in a task, Kishwer too would be extremely sporting while performing a task, in the show. Keeping up with the format, Kishwer would never hesitate to play dirty games in order to win. She would also be equally nasty while arguing with her rivals like Priya, Mandana, Rochelle Rao and gang. Can’t blame her, this is what the audience expect from a true-blue Bigg Boss contestant.
Tough nut: Kishwer was definitely a tough nut on the show, who would not refrain from speaking her mind. On several occasions, she refused to be a mute listener and was bold enough to give a fitting reply to Salman Khan. It’s a different story that it was Salman who managed to make her break down in one of the episode, but, she replied in equal measures by pointing that Bigg Boss was biased towards Mandana Karimi.
Ticket to finale: The ‘ticket to finale’ round was expected to be a last fight between the three strong contestants-Kishwer, Mandana and Prince Narula. While everyone expected that she would be one of the final contestants, Kishwer decided to walk out of the show with prize money of Rs 15 lakh.
