After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year, Karan Johar’s production venture, Kill, has finally got a release date in India. The gory, action-entertainer will be released in Indian theatres on July 5 this year. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Lakshya and features television’s charmer Raghav Juyal as the antagonist – Fani. The trailer is out now.

The trailer kicks off with Lakshya proposing to his girlfriend Tanya Maniktala on a train. However, their romantic moment is abruptly interrupted when a group of goons attacks the train. They are faced with a terrifying assault by the armed and ruthless group. The tension rises with the appearance of Raghav Juyal, who plays the antagonist in the film. As the situation escalates and Lakshya’s character is pushed to his limits, he takes on a relentless and fierce rampage to protect himself and his loved ones.

According to the film’s official website, “Kill" unfolds a gripping narrative set on a passenger train bound for New Delhi. It depicts a fierce confrontation between two commandos and a gang of 40 bandits. Amidst the chaos, star-crossed lovers Tulika (portrayed by Tanya Maniktala) and Amrit (played by Lakshya) must safeguard their forbidden romance while navigating the perilous journey. With their martial arts skills put to the ultimate test, Amrit and his comrade Viresh embark on a daring rescue mission, confronting ruthless adversaries to ensure the safety of the passengers and their love.

in his Bollywood debut with this film, Lakshya will transition from TV appearances to the silver screen. That apart, he is set to appear in Dharma Productions’ Bedhadak alongside Shanaya Kapoor and Dostana 2 with Janhvi Kapoor. Kill premiered in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival last year, earning a spot among the ten selected films for screening at the prestigious festival. Marking this announcement through an Instagram post, the filmmaker unveiled the initial look of the action-packed film.
