'I Don't Think Pushpa Did Anything For Me': Fahadh Faasil Makes SHOCKING Comment About Allu Arjun's Film
Fahadh Faasil further shared that he is not a pan-Indian actor and argued that his films' box office perofrmance is of utmost importance to him.

When Pushpa: The Rise hit theatres in 2021, the audience widely loved it. Apart from Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, who played the SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat in the movie, was also appreciated by the audience for his performance. However, in a recent interview, Fahadh Faasil made a shocking comment about the Sukumar directorial and argued that it did not do much to his career.

Fahadh Faasil was recently asked if Pushpa: The Rise has helped him become a pan-Indian star. To this, the actor replied negatively and made it clear that the film has not helped him much. He also made it clear that his priority lies with the Malayalam film industry.

“No, I don’t think Pushpa did anything for me. I tell Sukumar sir that. I don’t have to hide it. I have to be honest. I am doing my stuff here. No disrespect to anything. People expect magic from me after Pushpa… no. It’s pure collaboration and love for Sukumar Sir. My stuff is here (Malayalam cinema). Very clearly, my stuff is here. That’s one,” Fahadh Faasil told Film Companion as quoted by Indian Express.

“So, that is very exciting. For me, I don’t believe that Pushpa would change me or it would take me to another… No, I don’t believe that,” the actor added.

Fahadh Faasil further shared that he is not a pan-Indian actor and argued that his films’ box office performance is of utmost importance to him. “No. I am just an actor here. I have nothing to do with pan-India and whatever. I just do things that I believe in. The film should do business, that’s secondary. But the film that I do here… I mean I can never do it anywhere else. I can easily set up a film in Tamil, but everything will fall into place except the idea. I assume that will be the case in Hindi as well,” he said.

Meanwhile, the last leg of shooting for Pushpa 2 is currently underway. Besides Allu Arjun, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. Pushpa 2: The Rule might also feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a cameo. Sanjay Dutt is also likely to make a special appearance in the movie.

Previously, Rashmika talked about the much-awaited film when she promised that it would be “bigger” than ever. “I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that,” she told Pinkvilla.

Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
