Even though Sharmin Segal is facing criticism for her recent performance in Heeramandi: The Diamon Bazaar, looks like the actress has bagged another Sanjay Leela Bhansali project. If a recent post by the paparazzo Sneh Zala is to be believed, Sharmim, who is also Bhansali’s niece, will soon be seen in Love and War.

Yes, you read it right. Reportedly, Sharmin has been roped in for Love and War, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt in the lead. However, there is no official confirmation of this as of now.

Sharmin Segal ‘Disappoints’ Fans With Heeramandi Performance? 

This comes at a time when Sharmin, who plays the role of Alamzeb in Heeramandi, has been facing criticism for her performance in the web series. Recently, Sharmin’s co-star Taha Shah also opened up about the negativity she has been facing and defended her. He was speaking to Zoom when he said, “Sharmin has only done two films, and her method involves keeping it subtle.”

Taha Shah further explained that it is not right for the audience to compare Sharmin to her co-stars like Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari or Sonakshi Sinha because they have much more experience than her.

“Manisha ma’am has worked with the best of the best directors and best of the best actors. People learn over time. If the audience has found fault in Sharmin, she will do even better. I know she wants to and is eager to learn,” he said.

What Do We Know About Love and War? 

Talking about Love and War, the film was announced in January this year and is slated to hit theatres on Christmas 2025. Recently, News18 Showsha exclusively learnt that the film go on floors in November this year.

“The shoot of Love And War will begin in Mumbai but a set for the same is yet to be constructed. The film will have some elaborate song sequences and for the same, Bhansali is personally still in discussions with his production design team. As for Vicky, when he will join the shoot still remains unclear,” a source close to the production told us.
