Sivakarthikeyan and director Cibi Chakaravarthi will reportedly reunite for a movie after their blockbuster release, Don in 2022. Marking the directorial debut of Cibi Chakaravarthi, the film grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office. It starred Sivakarthikeyan, SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Soori and Sivaangi Krishnakumar in the lead roles. It was jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Sivakarthikeyan Productions.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in the movie Ayalaan, which was written and directed by R Ravikumar. Despite the positive reviews, the film couldn’t perform well at the box office.
Reports of the alleged interaction between Sivakarthikeyan and Cibi Chakaravarthi are making the rounds on the internet. The director has reportedly narrated a one-liner from his script as a mass masala entertainer to the actor. It is said that the actor has agreed to join hands with the director for the second time and will commence the film’s shoot after completing his prior commitments. After the blockbuster success of Don, director Cibi Chakaravarthi was reported to be directing superstar Rajinikanth in his second directorial, but the film failed to develop and was dropped before it went on floors. The director is yet to make his second film official.
Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy with his upcoming movie, tentatively titled SK21, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. After that, he will be working with the director, AR Murugadoss, on his next film, tentatively titled SK23. Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmini Vasanth will play the lead roles in the film. As per the media reports, the renowned musician Anirudh Ravichander will also be joining the team as the music composer for the movie. Superstar Mohanlal is also anticipated to join the cast and will play a supporting role in the movie. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal will also be seen in a prominent role in the film.
Due to this, the reunion of the Don duo is expected to take at least a year to come. Amidst this, there are also chances for director Cibi Chakaravarthi to work with any other actor for his second directorial.
