Actress Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with the love of her life, Anand Ahuja, in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. Although the D-day was meant to be kept very low-key and discreet, Sonam's other wedding functions, including mehendi, sangeet and reception, were a star-studded affair which saw the who's who from Bollywood. However, not all fans were aware of the fact that Sonam's best friend Swara Bhaskar almost did not make it to the wedding. Yes, you read that right.
During an interview with Radio City, Swara revealed that Sonam's astrologer had earlier picked 12th March as the auspicious day for Anand and her wedding. Wait, there's a twist in the story. She further said that it happened to be the same date when her own brother Ishaan was getting hitched to his girlfriend.
"Sonam entered (Veere Di Wedding set) looking very upset. I got an idea what it was about," Swara recalled. "Sonam even asked me if I could convince my parents in order to get Ishan's wedding date changed," Swara added.
On the other hand, Swara was trying to convince Sonam's parents Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor to postpone Sonam’s wedding to some other date. Eventually, things got worked out and Sonam’s wedding got delayed. The two actors are all set to share screen space for the third time in their upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding.
