Deadpool & Wolverine Box Office: Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer Deadpool & Wolverine has broken a new record at the box office. The R-Rated film, which features Marvel Jesus aka Deadpool, has surpassed the collections of The Passion of the Christ’s box office collection to emerge as the biggest R-Rated film in North America.

As per Deadline, Deadpool & Wolverine earned $395.6M domestically whereas The Passion of the Christ earned $370.7 million. The Passion of the Christ was released in 2004 and held the record for the highest grossing R-Rated film in the US for 20 years.

Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine has already surpassed the collections of its previous two Deadpool movies worldwide. The film has reported a total worldwide collection of an estimated $824.1 million, with $428.5 million coming in from the international markets. Deadpool ended its run with $783 million collection whereas and Deadpool 2 collected $786 million.

The Shawn Levy directorial is performing well in India as well. The film has entered Rs 100 crore club in just two weekends. Deadpool & Wolverine has collected Rs 139.10 Cr GBOC (Net box office collection of RS 107.80 Cr) in just 10 days.

Deadpool & Wolverine left behind several Disney and Marvel films as well. These include Black Panther, The Lion King, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in its opening weekend. However, it still needs to cross the records set by major blockbusters, such as Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jurassic World and The Avengers to lead the list.

Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, alongside, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Aaron Stanford, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, Lewis Tan, Jason Flemyng, Kelly Hu and Ray Park. The movie also features special cameos of Tyler Mane, Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans and Henry Cavill.
