Channing Tatum is a die-hard Swiftie. The Magic Mike actor has opened up about being a fan of Taylor Swift, calling the pop singer an “unstoppable force" on stage. Despite her star status, Channing Tatum, who claimed to know Taylor Swift personally, revealed that she was just a very “normal" and “sweet" person in real life. To support his statement, the 44-year-old shared an anecdote where he visited Swift’s house. Recalling the incident, Tatum heaped praise on the Fortnight singer’s culinary skills. He disclosed that Swift made him some delicious and “warm pop tarts" for dinner.
On Thursday, July 11, Channing Tatum made an appearance on the celebrity chat show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He talked about his latest film Fly Me to the Moon with Scarlett Johansson and gushed about his fiance Zoe Kravitz. Additionally, the Step Up actor revealed that he attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert in August last year, highlighting his friendship with the singing sensation. When host Jimmy Fallon displayed a picture of Tatum and television personality Gayle King at SoFi Stadium for the concert, Tatum was quick to appreciate Swift’s music and opened up about her cooking talent.
“I was a fan of the music because I’ve listened to her forever but I did not know she was such an unstoppable force. I kind of know her a little personally and she’s really kind of just normal and sweet. And she’ll make you, like, a dinner, and whip it up no problem. Like, homemade Pop-Tarts. Like warm, warm pop tarts. I’m like, ‘Did you just make these? How are these warm?" said Channing Tatum.
Drawing parallels between Taylor Swift and a triathlete, Channing Tatum added, “And then you get to see her go on stage, for like a three-plus hour show. I challenge any triathlete that’s a champion to go and do what she’s doing on stage." He revealed that Swift’s ability to entertain the crowd with her unparalleled energy made him an instant fan.
