The theatrical trailer of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer action-drama Kaala was unveiled recently. The film sees Rajinikanth returning to his role of being the saviour of the masses, this time in Mumbai's largest slum, Dharavi. After Kabali, once again Thalaivar dons his gangster avatar with ease as he makes a blockbuster entry.
Now, after the 90-minutes trailer was lauded by the fans all-around, a behind-the-scenes shot of Rajinikanth with co-stars Nana Patekar and Pankaj Tripathi has been released. The photo captures a light-hearted moment shared by the talented actors on the set.
The film marks the debut of Tripathi in Tamil Cinema. The actor currently shooting for Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai and for Tigmanshu Dhulia's Criminal Justice remake.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala is set in the backdrop of Mumbai city and has an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Sampath, and Samuthirakani in key roles. Touted as one of the biggest Tamil releases, Kaala has been produced by Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush.
The trailer has already gone viral on the internet with more than 2.1 million views. The film releases on June 7.
