It was earlier reported that Priyadarshan has approached Saif Ali Khan for their next film. He will be playing a blind man’s role but nothing has been made official. And now there is a fresh update on it. Bobby Deol is also in talks with Priyadarshan. He will be playing an Antagonist role.
Pinkvilla has quoted a source saying, “Bobby loved what he heard, especially the fact that the narrative around his character is full of twists and turns. While he plays the baddie on the face of it, the character serves as a parallel lead to Saif Ali Khan. Bobby has his date diary blocked for the next 6 months; however, he has bought a couple of weeks to see if he can allot 30 days to Priyadarshan for this thriller. He has loved the script and is going out of his way to get the logistics sorted.”
“Priyadarshan is excited to bring this story to the Hindi-speaking audience, and the casting is underway. If everything falls in place, the thriller will take off before his fantasy comedy with Akshay Kumar,” the source shared. The shoot is expected to begin in July and will be completed in August.
Saif Ali Khan was last seen in Adipurush. This is a magnum opus based on the epic Ramayana. Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh, the antagonist who is based on Ravana, the king of Lanka who abducts Sita, the wife of Ram. Prabhas plays Ram, the protagonist who is based on Vishnu, the supreme god who incarnates as a human to rescue Sita. Kriti Sanon plays Sita, the heroine who is based on Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. The film is directed by Om Raut. However, it did not performed well at the box office and was also criticised for its dialogue.
He will be next seen in Devara. Saif Ali Khan will play the role of a police officer in this Telugu-language film.
Bobby Deol was last seen in Animal and has been getting a lot of praise for his performance. The actor has been getting many offers.
