Bengali director Bauddhayan Mukherji wins the Aravindan Puraskaram for his film 'Teenkahon'
A four-member jury, chaired by noted film editor Beena Paul Venugopal, selected the movie from among 18 films.

Thiruvananthapuram: Bengali director Bauddhayan Mukherji has bagged the Aravindan Puraskaram for the best debutante director for his film 'Teenkahon' (Three Obsessions).

The award, instituted by the Chalachitra Film Society here in memory of eminent director G Aravindan, comprises a purse of Rs 25,000, memento and citation, a release said today.

Upcoming Malayalam director Sanal Sashidharan's movie 'Oralppokkam' got jury's special mention, it said. Set in the backdrop of three different periods, 'Teenkahon' explores different hues of the man-woman relationships.

A four-member jury, chaired by noted film editor Beena Paul Venugopal, selected the movie from among 18 films from different parts of the country.

The award will be presented on March 15 on the death anniversary of Aravindan, the release added.
