Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much anticipated film ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which is an epic period saga, has been grabbing everyone’s attention for several reasons. The incredible manner in which Bhansali has captured the eternal love between a Peshwa and Mastani is as significant as the grand sets used, and the backlash the film has earned over hurting religious sentiments of a few groups, or because the script has also used multiple fictitious characters and events to entertain the viewers.
So while the film continues to make headlines for the aforementioned reasons, we ought to admit that the trailer and the promos of the romantic period drama have been successful at mesmerising us.
For the uninitiated, Bhansali has taken the film’s basic plot from a book based on Bajirao titled ‘Rao’, written several years ago. The film features Ranveer Singh as Bajirao, Deepika Padukone as Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai.
