Arunabh Kumar Steps Down As TVF CEO, Posts Open Letter On Twitter
He took to Twitter to announce his decision and posted an open letter.

Arunabh Kumar, the Founder and CEO of Mumbai-based content creation company The Viral Fever (TVF) has decided to step down from the post of Chief Executive Officer of the company after facing accusations of sexual harassment by an anonymous blogger by the name of Indian Fowler months ago.

He took to Twitter to announce his decision and posted an open letter saying, "I have decided to step down as #TVFCEO".

In the letter, he states that the decision has been taken in the wake of the personal attacks that followed after he was accused of sexual harassment and that there's nothing more important to him than TVF.

He also added that even though whatever has happened in the past three months has mentally and emotionally drained him, he still believes that the truth will prevail eventually.

It all began when a former employee of TVF, who chose to call herself Indian Fowler, accused Kumar of sexual harassment through a blog post that went viral in no time. Supreme Court Lawyer Rizwan Siddique had filed a third-party complaint against Kumar and the police had asked Kumar to record his statement on the matter. No FIR was filed against him as the complaints were from anonymous women but both Police and Siddiqui (through his Facebook post) urged the victims to come out and speak.

In an official statement issued soon after the post went viral, TVF denied the allegations and said, “We take a lot of pride in our team and in making TVF a safe workplace that is equally comfortable for women and men. We will leave no stone unturned to find the author of the article and bring them to severe justice for making such false allegations."

TVF later issued another statement admitting that they should have handled the response better. “We did send out an instant response, which may have been a bit too quick & emotional. We recognize that we should have handled that response better," the statement read.
