Anupamaa Producer Rajan Shahi REACTS As Rupali Ganguly Joins BJP: 'Take Inspiration From Smriti Irani'

Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi has congratulated Rupali Ganguly for joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking to an entertainment portal, Rajan called Rupali very “hardworking and dedicated” and suggested she should take inspiration from Smriti Irani. He further clarified that the actress would get all the support she would need from Anupamaa’s production house.

“I’m extremely proud of the fact that Rupali joined BJP. She is a very hardworking and dedicated person. She’s a good soul and we need people like her to join active politics. Knowing the fact that she is so dedicated, she will work really and the kind of impact she has as Anupamaa, she will use it to her advantage. I know she will do really well. Smriti Irani ji has already made all of us proud when she joined BJP. She should take inspiration from that. Rupali is very committed to her work so I don’t see any problem them. We are there to support her in all the endeavours,” Rajan Shahi told E-Times.

Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa stars Rupali Ganguly in the lead. The show has been ruling TRP charts for years now and is widely loved by the audience. Besides Rupali, Anupamaa also stars Gaurav Khanna, Sudhanshu Pandey, Nidhi Shah, Sagar Parekh, Ashish Mehrotra and Alpana Buch among others.

Rupali Ganguly visited the BJP headquarters in New Delhi when she joined the political party and said, “I am so honoured to be here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has influenced me a lot. I am a big fan of PM Modi. BJP has been doing great work and therefore I wanted to join the BJP. I am very thankful to the party.” Rupali was also joined by political leaders Vinod Tawde and Anil Baluni at the press conference.

Later, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Nidhi Shah, who plays the role of Rupali’s daughter-in-law, Kinjal in Anupamaa also congratulated her and said, “I am a bit surprised but I feel so happy for her because it is a huge thing. Currently, BJP is doing so well. I think, Rupali has taken a very good decision by joining BJP. I wish her all the best. It is a big thing. What she does and what she is in the show (Anupama), it influences a lot of people. She is an influential person. I just want to wish her all the best. It is a big thing for her, she should celebrate it.”
